Former Linxcel-Seton Yamaha man will stand-in for the injured Chris Martin in the Gearlink Kawasaki British Supersport team next weekend following a test at Cadwell Park yesterday.
The South African, who split from his former team saying he wanted to make a move up to Superbikes, will ride the ZX-6R Supersport bike over the Bank Holiday weekend after posting decent laptimes yesterday.
"The Kawasaki is a completely different motorcycle for me and it has its positives for sure. It handles amazingly and that is going to be very good at Cadwell Park. It’s got a good power delivery and it’s very well put together so it’s going to be good to ride," said Kennaugh.
Martin, meanwhile, is expected to be moved to York Hospital in the near future after his massive off at Brands Hatch. It is understood he will be out for the rest of the year.
