Kiyonari confident of winning pace at Brands BSB

Buildbase BMW’s Ryuichi Kiyonari wants to make up for the disappointment of Donington Park at this weekend’s Brands Hatch MCE British Superbike round and get back on the winner’s spot.

The Japanese star had tyre problems in race one and crashed out of race two after setting the pace in free practice and qualifying but says he is confident he and the team are challengers.

“I'm not very happy with the races at Donington, especially after practice and qualifying. What I can take away from that weekend is I felt the problem went away in the second race and I could have challenged, but it was a little bit too much, too fast and I crashed,” said Kiyo.

“The machine and the team are very good and have a lot of potential. I'm looking forward to Brands Hatch and I am confident we can challenge, hopefully for the win - I always want to win!”
