Buildbase BMW MCE British Superbike star Ryuichi Kiyonari has insisted he is not ready to quit racing just yet and will continue until he believes his mojo really has deserted him.
The Japanese star, who has won three BSB championships, is struggling on the S1000RR this season after challenging for the title in 2014 but it may just be a natural ebb and flow of form for Kiyonari, who goes from good seasons to bad year in, year out.
“I’m getting used to people saying that my mojo is gone when my results are not good. It actually motivates me, so that I can prove that they are wrong,” said Kiyo.
“Every time I go out on the race track, I give the best I can. If my mojo is gone, that’s the day I’ll stop racing. I will keep on racing so long as I trust myself and that there is at least one person out there that believes in me. So you’ll see me racing for a while.”
