KNOCKHILL BSB: ANDREWS TO RIDE WITH BROKEN HAND

Battered Lloyds British Jentin Yamaha rider Simon Andrews will line up in both of tomorrow's British Superbike races at Knockhill despite the fact he found out this morning he has added a fractured hand to his list of injuries.
The Evesham rider, who highsided off his R1 during a test at Mallory before the Brands Hatch World Superbike round, had a big moment in free practice yesterday afternoon when his bike tried to spit him off and he was forced to put all of his weight on the already-bashed appendage ti an effort to stay on.
"I went and had some physio yesterday and it was not too bad. But when I woke up this morning, my hand had swollen up," said Andrews. "They took x-rays earlier and told me I had fractured it.
"I now have a knee brace type thing on my hand, which looks like a balloon, and that is hooked up to the ice machine that is keeping the swelling on my knee down.
"If it's dry tomorrow, we should be ok. The bike is good but in the wet I am having trouble hanging off it to get it more upright, so it's sliding around and spinning all over the place."
