FHO BMW's Xavi Fores will return to Bennetts British Superbike action at Knockhill this weekend after missing the Oulton opener due to injury.
The Spanish contender sustained a small right hand fracture and since then has been working around the clock on his recovery to target a Knockhill return, which is the circuit where he claimed pole position and a podium finish on his debut visit in 2019.
“It has been busy for me doing everything I can to be ready for these next races. Knockhill is an event I have been waiting for because it is the circuit where I got my first pole position in BSB and I also was on the podium there in 2019, so I have good memories from the circuit," said Fores.
“Hopefully I can be strong there and my injury is much better. I think the weather will always play a part too, but that is the same for everybody. We had a good test there pre-season and the BMW M 1000 RR already felt good so we need to see how the weekend goes. But I know I want to be back and fighting for the podium in all three races for sure.”
