Worx Crescent Suzuki’s Michael Rutter crashed in both of Friday’s practice sessions at the sixth round of British Superbike Championship at Knockhill. Fortunately, he was unhurt and caused what to looked to be minimal damage.
In the dry first session Rutter low-sided at the uphill Real Radio Hairpin, the last corner before the start/finish straight, despite this he still rounded off the top ten setting his fastest time of 50.167s at the end of the session.
Session two took part under wet conditions and even though Rutter finished seventh overall taking his time down to 0’50.125s he suffered another minor fall at the John R Weir Chicane. After straight lining the exit of the chicane he run off track, touching the crash barrier as he tried to turn the bike away from the wall before falling off sideways.
Besides both incidents Rutter has finished the variable weathered day in a strong position on which he will continue to build in the final practice session tomorrow morning before the Swan Combi 50 Roll for Pole mid afternoon.
