Rob Mac Racing's British Supersport star Dan Linfoot reckons he is more confident than ever about his prospects in this year's championship – and the youngster is only halfway through his pre-season test programme.
The former 250GP man, who turns 21 this year, was guarded about his chances before Christmas, but following successful tests at Donington, Cadwell, Oulton and Knockhill, he is exuding confidence.
Speaking to bikesportnews.com this afternoon, Linfoot said: "I am really happy with the bike and the team is great. Every time we change something on the bike it gets better and better, and I am there with a base setting for the season, give or take.
"I wasn't that far off the Superbike boys' pace on my bike at Knockhill today, so maybe I should have a go at that instead. We're in a great position for Brands Hatch and I will be be up at the sharp end. I'm not in a rush to get on a Superbike, I can learn a lot from Chris and Michael this year."
