Bennetts British Superbike veteran Dan Linfoot has split from the iForce BMW team after 'too many unecessary technical problems'.

The Yorkshireman didn't detail the difficulties he had been experiencing but a problem early on at Brands Hatch was the last straw.

"Aside from the opening round at Silverstone where we showed some promise, it has been a difficult first half of the season with a far too many unnecessary technical difficulties," Linfoot told bikesportnews.com

"I gave the team the benefit of the doubt a couple of times but again, technical problems early in the weekend at Brands Hatch made my mind up that enough was enough.

"It is not the end for this year as I will still be riding for the Wójcik Racing Team in World Endurance and I have something lined up for Snetterton onwards as far as British Championships are concerned too.”
