Lowes 'happy and ready' after Cadwell shakedown

Samsung Honda new-boy Alex Lowes has declared himself comfortable and ready for his second full season in the MCE British Superbike Championship after two days of testing at Cadwell Park.

The youngster, alongside team-mate Ryuichi Kiyonari, put in more than a hundred laps of the Lincolnshire circuit and is now firmly bedded in to the team and the bike, saying his laptimes were good but not going so far as to reveal what they were.

"I'm happy now. The team is mega and I love the bike. In terms of power, it is very similar to the WFR but the big change is the suspension. I am on Ohlins now, where I was on K-tech last year so that has taken a bit of getting used to," said Lowes, speaking to bikesportnews.com from in the rough on the eighth.

"We had two swingarms to use but, to be honest, I wasn't going fast enough to tell the difference. I am looking forward to Donington Park now so we can carry on."
