MALLORY BSB: I WANT TO PUT A SMILE ON SOME FACES - HILL

Worx Suzuki's Tommy Hill says he is going into this weekend's Mallory Park British Superbike round with 100 per cent commitment and wants to put a smile on a few people's faces, not least his own.

Hill, who is standing in for the injured Sylvain Guintoli, likes the Leicestershire circuit and qualified on the front row next to John Reynolds last time he raced there.

"I want to go in there, get some results and put a smile on some faces. The team have been so enthusiastic and I haven't had much of that in recent times," said Hill, talking to bikesportnews.com this morning.

"I will still need to do some adjustments to get comfortable on the bike but the team have got a really good base setting which works, so I don't think we will have to do too much. There's no point in try to re-invent the wheel.

"I like Mallory and usually go well there but there's another chicane in it now which has spoilt the place. Gerrards was a really fast corner and now you have to get the bike set up to brake down to virtually nothing from a higher gear. It'll be interesting."
