MAP Raceways Yamaha rider Billy McConnell is taking part in the Mazda London Triathlon on Sunday 2nd August to raise money for Get Kids Going and will be up against 125GP rider Bradley Smith and F1 Championship leader Jenson Button.
The triathlon is the largest in the world and Billy is hoping to gather as much cash as he can as he can for his chosen charity, Get Kids Going, which raises money to buy sporting equipment for disabled children.
“I’m really looking forward to the triathlon and I know I need to get my transitions right between each discipline if I want to do well. I’ve got a 1500 metre swim, a 40 Km cycle ride and a 10 Km run. Get Kids Going is a really good charity and I wanted to do my bit for them. I hope my fans well get behind me and support both myself and my chosen charity," said the Aussie.
The event is based at the ExCeL centre in London so if you want to go and support Billy his start time is 14:00 and spectator details can be found on www.thelondontriathlon.co.uk.

Billy will be back in action on his MAP Raceways Yamaha on the 7th-9th August at Brands Hatch in Kent for round eight of the Fuchs-Silkolene British Supersport Championship.
