NW200 YAMAHA'S LINFOOT TO UNDERGO SURGERY TOMORROW

North West 200 Yamaha rider Dan Linfoot will undergo surgery tomorrow to plate and wire the metatarsals he broke in his massive highside during British Supersport qualifying at Snetterton.

Linfoot spend three nights in hospital last week under observation after the crash but was allowed to go home before returning to hospital today to prepare for the operation tomorrow.

"I will have the bones plated and wired tomorrow and then it's a recovery process with plenty of rest and physio. I am not going to ride at Mallory because I want to be 100 per cent before coming back," said Linfoot, speaking to bikesportnews.com from hospital this evening while holding his mummy's hand.

"I could probably ride at Mallory but if I crash again and I am not fit, then that might compound the problem. I need to be back on the bike as fit as I can be, get some podiums and then start winning races."
