OMG Racing Yamaha reveals new title backer, fresh look ahead of 2024 BSB season

Ian Hopgood

OMG Racing has officially launched its 2024 British Superbike Championship [BSB] campaign with the unveiling of a new title sponsor and a fresh livery for its first season with official Yamaha UK factory backing.

The team - BSB Champions in 2022 with Brad Ray - will field an unchanged rider line-up of Kyle Ryde and Ryan Vickers this season as it looks to build on a strong 2023 campaign that yielded eight wins between the two riders.

New-for-2024, however, is the arrival of GRILLA - a ‘hydration and energy brand’ - as OMG Racing’s new title backer, which contributes to the team’s striking new blue, black and yellow livery design.

While OMG Racing has already won one BSB title with Yamaha machinery, this will be its first season as the firm’s official factory nominated partner, replacing the now departed McAMS team.

“It’s always exciting to bring a new Title Partner on board, but this one even more so for me,” said Team Principal Alan Gardner.

“The team behind GRILLA align perfectly with us as OMG Racing, and with this being our first year as the Officially Supported Yamaha Team, I’m more excited than ever to get out on track.

“Both Kyle & Ryan have proved their skillset without question, so I’m confident in OMG GRILLA Yamaha Racing’s ability to bag some serious silverware this season.”

Ryde achieved a career-best run to third overall in 2023 with six wins to his name, while Vickers collected the first victories of his BSB career en route to eighth in the final standings.
