Tyco BMW’s Tommy Bridewell has made his aim at this weekend’s Oulton Park British Superbike round and that is to bridge the gap to the leaders after an encouraging performance at Brands last time out.
Although the Devizes rider suffered a crash at the Kent circuit, Bridewell believes the gains they made in setup should stand them in good stead once practice gets underway tomorrow.
“I think we made a good leap forward at the Oulton test and it’s probably the first weekend this year that I’m really excited coming into a race, as I know we have as good a chance as anyone for a podium result,” said Bridewell.
“It’s obviously a strong grid in BSB and the goal at Oulton will be to bridge that little gap to the front guys. Apart from the stupid crash I had at Brands we weren’t that far away from having a pretty good weekend, so I think we can make up for that on Monday on the Tyco BMW.”
