OULTON BSB: COX SAYS HE IS PLAYING CATCH UP

British Superbike STP-JHS Racing MV Agusta team debuted this weekend at Oulton Park with rider Victor Cox after missing the first round at Brands Hatch three weeks ago due to awaiting parts.
The Bradford on Avon rider has been with STP for the last couple of years and due to the manager Jon Strike and manager James Holland of JHS Racing both wanting to run him in 2009, two teams became one.
The team have not been able to test either so they are playing catch up, Cox said: “We have ad problems in every session, nothing major just stupid little problems that come up with the Italian bikes.
“We had a good warm up on Sunday morning, we finished the session.  We knew it was going to be a hard weekend, we did some testing last week but there is so much stuff to do and we knew it was going to be about finding things out.”
The team are starting from really starting from scratch as the bike is very different to last years.  Over the winter James Holland worked on the bike improving it ready for the season, but there is still a long way to go.
Now running in the main championship, the team were hoping to finish a race over the Bank Holiday weekend, but it wasn’t to be.  They will continue the development challenge at the third round of the championship at the end of May at the Leicestershire track of Donington Park.
