Hydrex Honda's Stuart Easton is bouncing and brimming with confidence after his World Superbike debut with the Paul Bird Kawasaki squad at Assen last weekend, according to team boss Shaun Muir.
Easton, who is the factory team's official test rider, made the one-off appearance to replace the crocked Broc Parkes after the Aussie injured his shoulder testing at Snetterton. Even though Easton says himself he didn't push hard enough in race one and crashed in race two, the Hawick man is happy.
"Stuart is absolutely brimming with confidence after the weekend. He is bouncing and that is good for us going into this weekend's Oulton races where I think we are looking at podiums again," said Muir, speaking to bikesportnews.com this morning.
"We are also using this weekend to get Guy ready for the NorthWest 200 and the TT. We have got a bit more power out of his Supersport bike and things are looking good there too."
