OULTON BSB FINAL: ANDREWS LEADS WET FINAL PRACTICE

MSS Colchester Kawasaki's Simon Andrews set the quickest time in this morning's final free practice at a wet Oulton Park with the Worx Suzuki of Sylvain Guintoli in second, but more than three-quarters of a second slower.

The Evesham man set a 1'50.115 lap compared to Guintoli's 1'50.900 with Howie Mainwaring, on the Maxxis Yamaha, in third nearly two seconds behind the French former MotoGP man. HM Plant Honda's Josh Brookes hauled himself up to fourth with his last lap but is nearly three seconds off the pace.

Airwaves Yamaha's Leon Camier, fresh from a crash yesterday, set the initial pace on a 1'53.213 with Brookes and Aaron Zanotti in close attendance. With 14 minutes left in the session, Andrews hit the front with a 1'51.864 and then started a run of lap which saw him stay at the top of the sheets.

Guintoli, meanwhile, started slowly but then upped his pace to go second with a 1'52.846 , then a 1'51.109 and then his quickest time of the session which confirmed his second.

Only 13 riders put in a time.
