OULTON BSB FINAL: CAMIER MAKES IT 19 WINS IN A YEAR

Airwaves Yamaha's Leon Camier cruised to his 19th and final win of the 2009 British Superbike Championship at Oulton Park this afternoon with the Hydrex Honda of Tommy Hill crossing the line a distant second, some 3.7s in arrears.

Hill's team-mate Stuart Easton crashed out of the re-started race on lap five, replicating the crash Camier had on Friday, losing the front at Brittens after catching the inside of the kerb with the engine casing.

Both Camier and Hill had lonely races, as did HM Plant Honda's Josh Brookes in third place but there was plenty of scrapping for the minor places as Ian Lowry, on the Relentless Suzuki, had to make his way through the field.

The BSB rookie had to get past Buildbase Kawsaki's John Laverty, who also crashed at Brittens in the finals laps, before getting onto the back of Sylvain Guintoli's Worx Suzuki.

Lowry managed to pass the French former MotoGP man with nine laps out of the 12 gone and take fourth, with MSS Colchester Kawasaki's Julien Da Costa in sixth, Chris Walker seventh and Glen Richards in ninth.

NB Suzuki's Tommy Bridewell took the Superbike Cup win after running across the grass on the first lap and re-joining in dead last. He finished ninth overall with Cup champion Gary Mason right behind him.
