OULTON BSB FINAL: I'M BATTERED BUT OK - ANDREWS

MSS Colchester Kawasaki's Simon Andrews says he is battered and bruised after his horror crash in the second British Superbike race at Oulton Park yesterday but other than that ok.

Andrews was high-sided off his ZX-10R on the first lap through the 120mph Cascades section and piled through the gravel before bouncing off the airfence and coming to rest. He was initially knocked out but regained consciousness before being taken to hospital.

"I still don't really know what happened. I am pretty battered and bruised but OK apart from that. The CT scan didn't reveal anything at the hospital last night,w hich is a good thing," said Andrews, speaking to bikesportnews.com this morning.

"I went back to the track last night and just chilled out. I needed to take any pressure away from my back as that is what hurt the most so I just watched the parties happening."
