Oulton BSB: Hedger takes Motostar win

FPW Racing’s Luke Hedger took a comfortable ten second victory from the lights to the chequered flag in the Monster Energy Motostar race this afternoon.

After qualifying more than a second ahead of everyone else it was no surprise that Hedger cleared off into the distance after taking the holeshot. Behind him a battle raged for second between young Scotsman Ryan Watson, Joe Irving and Cat Green. Green was bidding to become the first lady in British Championship history to get on the podium and it was going plan as she moved under Irving to take third. This left Irving with no room but to hit the grass and consequently bundle into the air bags. Green’s quest was cut short however as her RS Racing Honda seized on the entry to Hizzy’s Chicane causing her to retire and handing second to Appleyard Macadam’s Watson.

TT Superstar William Dunlop was involved in a battle for and it came down to the last corner on the last lap as Harry Hartley looked under the inside but the defensive line of Dunlop held strong. Hartley ran wide giving fourth to Christian Elkin but he managed to fight off Bradley Hughes to take fifth. Joe Francis took seventh after a race long battle with Arnie Shelton, Tom Carne and Callum Bey.
