Oulton BSB: ‘I need to make no mistakes’ - Kiyonari

Buildbase BMW’s Ryuichi Kiyonari is looking for a error-free weekend at Oulton’s upcoming MCE British Superbike weekend and claw back some of the points he has lost to Shane Byrne and James Ellison.

The three-time champion tested at the Cheshire circuit last Friday and said that although he was the business end of a second lower than Josh Brookes, he did a lot of setup work over the course of the day.

"The test last week was good, although the lap time was disappointing because the other riders were in the 1’34s and low 35s. I was happy that we worked on some of the areas we needed to after Brands Hatch and they are much better now. I think the rest of the time at the test was from me,” said Kiyo.

"I was happy to go back to Oulton Park last week and do lots of laps because we worked on some of the areas we needed to and we have improved. Missing the podium at Brands Hatch has made me more determined to have better results this weekend - I need to make no mistakes and improve. We were so close at the last round and I was disappointed with a double fourth because in every race I want to win."
