Oulton BSB: Richards takes another Supersport pole

Smiths Triumph’s Glen Richards bagged the Motorpoint British Supersport pole position at Oulton Park this morning, beating team-mate and fellow Aussie Billy McConnell by just 0.089 of a second.

The Adelaide men both went under championship leader Jack Kennedy’s lap time in the closing seconds of the session demoting the Mar-Train Yamaha rider to third, just 0.157 behind Richard’s time.

The battle for the last front row position went down to the wire too with Luke Mossey, Ben Wilson and Richard Cooper all sitting in fourth atone point within the last two minutes of the session. In the end it was the reigning National Superstock 1000 Champion, Cooper, who took fourth ahead of Wilson and Mossey to sit on the front row for only the second time this year.
