Oulton BSB: Top ten target for Waters

Milwaukee Yamaha’s Josh Waters will start the first MCE British Superbike race of the day from seventeenth on the grid. This will be the Aussie’s first race at the Oulton Park circuit, and the rider has some realistic aims of where he wants to finish both races this afternoon.

The rookie knows it will be a challenge trying to compete for a top-ten finish after finding himself starting from the fifth row, but after being eliminated from the second qualifying session yesterday, Waters desperately wants to finish in the points today.

“Qualifying was not the result that I wanted, and I would have liked to have gone better as my team-mate is really strong here. Hopefully I can go one better tomorrow but I am still learning the track," said Waters, speaking to bikesportnews.com, from the circuit.

“I want to finish the race in the top ten, and definitely in the points. I want to see how I go in the first race, and hopefully I will go better in the second race. But I am a realist, and I just want two solid races.”
