Oulton BSB: 'We've got a mountain to climb' - Wilson

Gearlink Kawasaki's Ben Wilson will start this afternoon's Motorpoint British Supersport race from the back of the gird, after crashing in qualifying and missing the race. He admits he is on the back foot but the spud-missile is still confident of challenging at the front of the race.

"You can't really make a plan when you're that far back. I'll just have to get my head down and pass as many people as we can at the start, then try catch the leaders up. We've had no time to focus on setup with the first free practice being wet, then crashing in qualifying and missing the race so we're on the back foot, but that's the way it seems to be at the moment," said Wilson, speaking to bikesportnews.com after his morning warm-up at Oulton Park.

"The season has been okay so far, until yesterday of course, but we're still fourth in the championship. I seem to have lost touch a little bit with the leaders so today is crucial for us to get some points back on them. They're going to be quick but I know I can run the pace. It's fantastic to have a team-mate like Alastair. Obviously, we're both running at the sharp-end and pushing for wins. We've got a mountain to climb but I'm still out there to win."
