Scottish GP 125 rider Ben Young will be returning to the UK to ride one of Mark Keens well prepared KRP GP machines at the British GP 125 round held at Croft, nr Darlington in September.
Since Ben left Scotland to start his new life in Canada with his family last September he has exceeded all expectations so far in the racing world across the pond on his Honda RS 125.
Ben, now 15 years old has been unbeaten in all Canadian Regional Championship races held at all Shannonville‘s 4 circuits. He is also leading the Can-Am GP 125 Championships.
Not only showing his talent in Canada, Ben and family has travelled thousand of kilometres up and down the Untied States racing at circuits like Jennings GP, Florida, Summit Point, West Virginia and Road America in Wisconsin entering in the Eastern USGPRU where he has out qualified and beaten some of America’s top GP 125 riders / teams to place him 7th in the Eastern Championships and 12th in the National Championships (whole of USA) so far.
Ben’s awesome performances have not being going unnoticed by many, he is being spoken very highly of in the paddocks but its not just for his performances but that every circuit he visits is the first time he has set eyes on it, never mind raced at it.
Ben was asked about racing at Croft again. He said: “I can not wait to get back to Croft it is a track I love and know really well. It is awesome that Mark from KRP and my mum and dad is giving me this opportunity and it will be great to get back to see all my friends in the BSB paddock, I am really looking forward to it”.
