Palmer leaves ICE MV Agusta UK team

Tristan Palmer has confirmed that he has left his ICE MV Agusta UK team, whom he was racing for in the Pirelli National Superstock 1000 championship. The rider, who only joined the squad at the start of the year, believes he has secured a return to the MCE British Superbike series with a different team, in time for the third round at Oulton Park next week.

“I have just left MV Agusta, we were struggling with the bike a bit at the start of the season and it has not really improved that much. There are a few reasons why I left, but I wish the team all the best, but it was not for me this year. Hopefully, I am sorted for Oulton Park but after that it is a bit unknown of what I am going to do after that, so I am just sorting things out and seeing what my options are,” said Palmer speaking to bikesportnews.com.

The former GBmoto Racing rider is confident he will be competing next weekend, but was cagey as to which race team he will be joining at Oulton Park, but hopes to make a big enough impact on a Superbike to secure himself a ride for the rest of the season. He may well stand-in for the injured Dan Linfoot.

“I think I am back on a Superbike for Oulton Park, but after that I am not sure, but I am hoping to find out pretty soon what I am doing. I want to get out on anything I can so being there racing is great. So I will see how Oulton goes, so that should bring up some more opportunities for the rest of the season, so we will see how it goes. Hopefully we will have a good weekend and get some decent results.”
