Pitt returns to British Superbikes as Buchan mentor

Former World Supersport Champion Andrew Pitt will return to the British Superbike paddock at Oulton Park as mentor for CN Racing's Danny Buchan.

The vastly experienced Australian, who was crew chief with the Essex rider's MSS Kawasaki team last year, will be spending as much time as possible with Danny from round three at Oulton Park, helping with all aspects of his race craft including interpreting data, fitness and being a general mentor.

“I really like Danny and I saw from last year he has massive potential, so I’m looking forward to taking him under my wing a bit. Basically I know from experience some of the things that can go wrong early in your race career and I’m looking to help him avoid some of those mistakes and guide him in the right direction," said Pitt.

"He needs focus and to feel confident in his own abilities. Some of that comes from being able to get off the bike and go the right way with set-up, some of it is more mental- all of which we’ll be looking at working on together. I hadn’t really anticipated being back in the British Superbike paddock so quickly but Danny is a good rider and it will be interesting working with him and trying to help him progress.”
