Former European Superstock 1000 Champion Alex Polita has returned to the MCE British Superbike Championship, riding a John Hackett-prepared Ducati Panigale at today's Donington Park test.

The Italian star was forced out of the series after Snetterton when the Jentin-Doodson team for whom he raced quit. Hackett, who owned and prepared the bikes, has brought Polita back into the championship with Lloyds British backing.
