British 125GP front-runners Repli-Cast are aiming to run current rider Robbie Stewart in a National Superstock 600 team next season as part of a new rider academy scheme to held young riders.
The Repli-Cast Juniors will comprise Scotsman Stewart on the 600 with two young riders on the team's 125cc racebikes in the hope they will be able to progress through the classes to reach Superbikes within three years.
"If we can get backing we are hoping to purchase a Superstock 600 bike and run a three-rider team with Robbie aboard the 600 Superstockbike and two riders on the 125 GP bikes. Robbie will be aiming to be moved up to Supersport or even Superbike rides for 2011," said team boss Gary Dawson.
"We have had talks with most of the BSBt and the idea has excited them as this is a massive incentive for the riders to show their true potential at an early stage with the incentive of being able to join some of the best Superbike or Supersport teams out there.
"We will obviously need to raise sponsorship to make this happen and assure everyone who can contribute however small the very best publicity and advertising within the BSB Format including live television broadcasts and all media and press releases, team clothing and passes."
