Richard Kerr and Team IWR Honda join forces for the opening round of the British Superbikes (BSB) Showdown.
The Team IWR Honda outfit will have a new rider, for the first round of the British Superbike Showdowns. The team and Alex Olsen have mutually parted ways this week in the build-up to Oulton Park.
The British Superbike Pathway Team will continue to feature on the grid as Richard Kerr will join the team this weekend.
Kerr is the reigning Pirelli National Superstock Champion and debuted in BSB this season as he deputised for Rory Skinner. Now the Irishman will get to switch back to Honda machinery, the same manufacturer he won his Superstock Championship with.
Kerr said: “I am very excited to be teaming up with IWR Honda at Oulton Park. The team has a good history of results and when they contacted me this week, it was an easy choice for me to join them.
"The BSB Pathway Honda Fireblade will feel more familiar so I am looking forward to free practice on Friday to see what it’s like and to get back racing at Oulton Park!”
