Even though it's not yet official, www.bikesportnews.com can confirm that both Glen Richards and Josh Brookes have signed for the HM Plant Honda Superbike team, making it an all-Australian team.
There has been much speculation as to who would replace Leon Haslam and Cal Crutchlow in the Louth-based squad with both Neil Hodgson and Gregorio Lavilla in the frame. However, Hodgson confirmed to www.bikesportnews.com this morning he would be racing in America next year.
Brookes put on an outstanding show on the HM Plant Supersport bike at the weekend, finishing third behind future team-mate Richards and Steve Plater.
It's rumoured that Plater will also join the team for their 2009 roads campaign but may also get the Supersport ride. Steve Brogan will return to the team to defend his Superstock title.
We are expecting an announcement in the morning.
