Michael Rutter's leg break which he sustained on Sunday has been deemed 'uncomplicated' by medics and he will see a specialist in Ipswich tomorrow.
The 40-year-old broke the bottom of his tibia during World Endurance testing with the Honda TT Legends squad on Sunday and has already had discussion with the MCE British Superbike medical team.
North West 200 event director Mervyn Whyte has spoken to Rutter today and said: "I spoke to Michael today and he was in good spirits even though he said it had been a bad toss and the leg was very sore. Hopefully when he gets treatment all will be well for May 18 and he will be on the North West grid once again."
