SILVERSTONE BSB: CAMIER INSIDE LAP RECORD

Airwaves Yamaha's Leon Camier has gone inside the existing lap record, set by Gregorio Lavilla on Dunlop tyres two years ago, to head the British Supebrike third free practice at Silverstone this morning.

The champion-elect set a 1'27.351, just two one-hundredths quicker than the Spaniard, which is eight-tenths ahead of team-mate James Ellison with Hydrex Honda's Stuart Easton in fourth.

The Scotsman's team-mate Tommy Hill popped into fifth with minute left to go, which deposed Relentless Suzuki's Ian Lowry, who is riding with a chest infection, to fifth.

Worx Suzuki's Sylvain Guintoli is sixth place while Josh Brookes, on the HM Plant Honda, ended the session in seventh after sitting in third place early on. MSS Colchester Kawasaki's Julien Da Costa rounds out a theoretical front row.

Glen Richards, who is still recovering from his broken leg, is ninth quickest, 1.5s off the pace, while SMT Honda's Karl Harris completes the free practice three top ten.

Uncharacteristically, Simon Andrews is way down 13th place, behind Superbike Cup men Gary Mason on the Quay Garage Honda and Ultimate Yamaha's Peter Hickman.
