Bennetts British Superbike series leader Leon Haslam escaped a whopping highside unscathed in this morning’s opening free practice session at Silverstone.

The JG Speedfit Kawasaki man was pinged over the highside of his ZX-10R at Brooklands but bounced well and was released from the medical centre after only a few minutes.

His team now have until 3pm to re-build the bike in time for second practice.
