SILVERSTONE BSB: WILSON LOOKING TO SECURE THIRD

Gearlink Kawasaki's Ben Wilson reckons he is looking to tie up third place in the British Supersport Championship at Silverstone this weekend but isn't just riding to make up the numbers.

The Lincolnshire man is only a handful of points behind third-place man James Westmoreland and wants at least a win to go ahead of the Triumph rider but will be waiting to capitalise on mistakes by the series' leaders.

"We are coming to the end of the season, but that doesn’t mean I will just be riding around to make up the numbers. I still want to win both remaining races and end my season in third place – unless of course either of the two front runners makes a mistake and in that case I will be aiming my sights a bit higher," said Wilson.

"I have had a fantastic season with Gearlink Kawasaki and have really enjoyed my racing. The team has been awesome and the Ninja ZX-6R has done me proud. I would love to end the season with a couple more wins for the team as everyone has worked so hard to give me the right package."
