Lloyds British Moto Rapido’s Jakub Smrz will miss the upcoming Brands Hatch MCE British Superbike round as well as Knockhill following his Snetterton clash with Victor Cox.
Smrz returned to the Czech Republic on Sunday in order to seek further medical advice after being diagnosed with a broken thumb by circuit medics and his injury is more serious than was initially diagnosed.
“Jakub’s injury was a little more complex than we first thought, so as well as missing Knockhill he will also have to miss Brands Hatch. We will be back at Brands with a stand in rider to be confirmed soon,” said team boss Steve Moore.
