Buildbase Suzuki’s Christian Iddon topped the wet opening Bennetts British Superbike free practice at Snetterton with Cadwell double winner Danny Buchan in second and Ducati-mounted Tom Sykes in third.
Iddon put in 1’58.697 on his sixth and final lap of the Norfolk track and was 1.755s ahead of BMW’s Buchan while former WorldSBK king Sykes was a further three-tenths in arrears.
The Rich OMG Yamaha pairing of Kyle Ryde and Bradley Ray held the next two positions in the order, with Andrew Irwin locking out the top six riders.
Jason O'Halloran and Josh Brookes ended the session in seventh and eighth respectively with Takumi Takahashi and Leon Haslam completing the top ten.
