Tyco BMW’s Michael Laverty aims to start his season again at this weekend’s Snetterton MCE British Superbike round after the electronic problems that caused problems early in the season has now been sorted out.
The former MotoGP man finally found a solution to the issue at Oulton and scored a fourth-place finish at the Cheshire circuit, and Laverty thinks that he will be able to continue where he left off in Norfolk.
“Now we have got our electronic calibration problem fixed, we should be able to do some good times at Snetterton especially given where we finished at Oulton Park,” said Laverty, speaking to bikesportnews.com on his track walk.
“The front guys have all had two days testing at Snetterton whereas we missed it so getting down to their times might take a day or so but I am confident we can get there. I haven’t ridden at Snetterton since 2012 but it doesn’t seem to have changed much and we had some good results so it should be a good weekend.”
