Snetterton BSB: Seeley fastest in Supersport free practice

Gearlink Kawasaki's Alastair Seeley heads the Motorpoint British Supersport field going into tomorrow's qualifying, ending the two free practice sessions just 0.001 of a second quicker than Adelaide rider Billy McConnell.

Seeley's Gearlink team-mate, Ben Wilson, is third quickest with Profile Triumph's Luke Mossey backing up a double podium last time out at Snetterton, with a season best showing of fourth.

Samsung Honda's Jason O'Halloran looks to have put a nightmare round four at Knockhill to the back of his mind, as the Australian showed some good pace, finishing the free practice sessions fifth quickest. Seton Yamaha's Graeme Gowland was sixth quickest ahead of former Superstock 1000 champion, Richard Cooper.

Mar-Train Yamaha's Glenn Irwin was 0.9 seconds adrift of fellow Northern Irishman Seeley with Luke Stapleford and Sam Hornsey rounding out the top ten. Reigning Supersport champion Glen Richards is just over a second off the pace as he continues his recovery after crashing out on the warm-up lap at Knockhill and injuring his shoulder.

Championship contender, Stuart Easton, struggled throughout both sessions, only managing to get within 1.5 seconds of Seeley. The Scotsman only managed four laps in the final session of the day as he tried to fine tune his setup having missed the official test a week ago.
