Snetterton BSB: Seeley not expecting another easy ride

Gearlink Kawasaki's Alastair Seeley comfortably took Motorpoint British Supersport victory this afternoon but insists tomorrow's race isn't going to be as easy as this afternoon, at Snetterton.

The Northern Irishmen now leads the championship and says it's important for his championship cause to take strong points away from one of his favourite circuits.

"It's one of my strong circuits and I knew coming in here, from the test last week, that I had a good pace and the bike's setup was grand. There was just a few small things that we had to try but we were on the pace from the word go. We found out the tyre we would use after testing on it yesterday in a race simulation," said Seeley, speaking to bikesportnews.com at the circuit.

"It was just a matter of staying out of trouble with the heat today and I could only do that by getting a good start. I got away well, put my head down and just kept checking the pit board and my gap was climbing every time, which is good to see as a rider, it's a real confidence builder. I don't expect to get it easy tomorrow but if I can repeat today's performance, it would be nice."

"We might try a slight change in the warm-up but thats about it. If it doesn't work then we'll just revert back because I was happy with the lap times I put in today. I try not to think about the championship but I've done it all before with two previous title winning campaigns. Coming to a strong circuit of mine like here at Snetterton, it's always important to come away with strong points, so tomorrow is all about completing the job."
