JG Speedfit’s James Ellison is confident he will have the pace to do something about that speed title rival Josh Brookes showed in recent testing when the MCE British Superbike Championship descends on Snetterton this weekend.

Brookes was fast and consistent in the two-day test but Ellison was close to him on lap times and thinks he will be able to up his game and match the Milwaukee Yamaha man come raceday.

It feels like a long time since Oulton Park and the Snetterton test so I’m counting down the time until first practice. We had a really strong test at Snetterton, and although Josh was incredibly quick, our race pace is right there and I’m confident we can be battling with him and Shakey for the top step of the podium come Sunday,” said Ellison.
 
I really like Snetterton as a track too, I remember when they changed it I was a bit gutted but as soon as I rode the new layout for the first time I loved it. We had a good round here last year with a double podium and the bikes moved on loads since then, so fingers crossed for some good weather and a repeat performance… just higher up the box this time.”
