Honda Racing’s Factory Dan Linfoot has made steady progress on the second day of BSB testing at Monteblanco, working on chassis and suspension changes.
The Yorkshireman is still finding his way around the Fireblade, as it was only his second day riding, and he says that his laptimes are consistent and close to team-mate Jason O’Halloran, who was part of the bike’s development squad last year.
“We made some changes to the bike as on the first day I pretty much rode it as it came out of the workshop. We worked through some alterations with the shock and swingarm length, making the bike a bit longer, and some forks heights.
“That was only one variation really, we will try something else today, so in general I’ve learned quite a bit. The times are consistent, we don’t know what is a good around here but I feel like I am pushing on and getting the best from the bike, which responds well to changes.
It’s all good, we are communicating well and every run we are learning. There are a couple of weak areas that I want to make better, we’ve got a long way to go and it was only day two.”
