Former British 125GP runner-up Robbie Stewart will return to the championship with the Repli-Cast Racing team this season after a torrid time in Europe during 2008
The ex-KRP Honda man joined SC Triumph last year for a full assault on the European Superstock 600 Championship but due to funding problems, the team was never really on the pace and didn't make it to the last two rounds.
"It all started well but then just seemed to go wrong. We struggled with parts and money, and then just didn't make it to the final two rounds, which was really disappointing," said the Scotsman.
"I wasn't sure what to do this year bit I had a conversation with Gary at Repli-Cast and it kind of went from there. I'm looking forward to getting back on a 125 with the team.
"I like riding the smaller bikes and I know all the tracks, I just need to lose a bit of the muscle I built up riding the 600, so I'll just have to stick to cardio stuff in the gym and not touch the weights."
