Hydrex Honda riders Stuart Easton and Karl Harris completed a succesful one-day test at Snetterton yesterday with Easton consistently running laps around the same pace as last year's race record of 1'05.6s.
Both riders did around 80 laps of the Norfolk track working on new settings for their Pectel electronics packages including figuring out traction control levels and the getting to grip with the GPS system.
"It was a pretty good test for us and we came away with around 160 laps of data to sift through," said team boss Shaun Muir, speaking to bikesportnews.com this morning. "Stuart was around the race lap record for most of the day using old tyres and was very comfortable at the pace.
"His confidence is bouncing off the limiter at the moment and Karl was also pretty happy with his times. He has got the pace right through practice and qualifying but we need to work on his race head. We're really confident for Oulton as both of them are particularly fast there."
