Britain’s number one supermoto rider Christian Iddon is at Oulton Park this weekend to mix it up with the National Superstock 600 boys.
The reigning British Champion and world supermoto podium man has been wowing crowds at ThundersportGB this season already in the Sound of Thunder class and running away with the Streetfighter series. But now he has swopped to an SMT Honda and is ready for more.
Speaking from Oulton this afternoon, Iddon (23) said: “I had a few goes on a roadbike and really enjoyed it. I did a test with a World Supersport team and they offered me something but it couldn’t go ahead a couple of reasons.
“So, Aprilia very kindly lent me a Tuono and I am having great fun in the Thundersport series. I’m really looking forward to this weekend. I rode the bike last week when it still had indicators and a tax disc. If you see me in the paddock, I will be the one looking all confused about this knee-down business…”
He added that he was very grateful to SMT for giving him the opportunity and it was nice to see a team giving young British lads a try out.
