Supersonic Racing have confirmed their departure from the MCE British Superbike Championship by announcing their entry into the Italian national series with Alex Polita.

Team owner Danilo Soncini had been holding out to find a title sponsor and remain in Britain but to no avail, so he has returned to his native country and will run Suzukis in Italy.

"I feel lucky to have finally close the deal with Alex. On the technical side, I have personally chosen to trust the best, in my opinion, because of his experience on the Suzuki, namely Marcello Boselli, not only for national pride (we are both Parmigiani), but because with him we can really afford to find the best possible Suzuki today in competitions, setting up the new bikes perfectly and give life to this new project by Supersonic Boselli Races, all supported officially by Suzuki Italy," said Soncini.
