CF Motorsport’s Jake Dixon is in a desperate need for sponsorship if he is to continue in the Motorpoint British Supersport championship. The rider is competing in the Supersport Cup and is already in contention to take home the winners trophy. But the Dover lad is does not have enough money to go to Assen in a few weeks time and is unsure of whether he will able to finish the season.

Dixon has had a solid start, including topping many of the timing sheets, and clinching front row starts. The youngster has also given Supersport regulars Gearlink Kawasaki’s Ben Wilson and Smith Triumph’s Glen Richards a run for their money. It has not been an easy season for the seventeen-year-old. He had to miss the Cadwell Park round after breaking his scaphoid after a crash at Oulton Park.

But the racer is confident that he will bounce back to form at the next BSB round at Donington Park next week, and hopes his good results will make other teams take notice for next year.

“My injury is continuing to improve, and I should be ready for Donington. I have been in the Hypo-chamber and have had laser surgery and everything is progressing well,” said Dixon, speaking to bikesportnews.com.

“But I just need more sponsorship, and I haven’t got a lot of money, down to not having many sponsors to start with. It has also not helped that I have had some crashes this year too.

“CF Motorsport have really helped me and I am in a good team. But at this rate we don’t have enough money to go to Assen or may be the last round at Brands. I am still concentrating on this year, but I want to get a good result so I can hopefully get a good ride for next year.”
