SUZUKI BOSS DENNING BRANDS BROOKES INCOMPETENT

Worx Suzuki team owner Paul Denning has branded HM Plant Honda man Josh Brookes as incompetent following the Australian rider's collision with Sylvain Guintoli on the sighting lap of race one at Donington Park yesterday.

Denning, who also runs the Rizla Suzuki MotoGP outfit, is clearly furious over the incident which has left his rider with a broken tibia and fibula, and Denning has admitted the championship is over for the team.

"The events of yesterday are a massive disappointment for everyone involved with the Worx Crescent Suzuki team, as well as a blow for the BSB series as a whole. Risks are always involved, but when your rider is as talented and consistent as Sylvain and then something like this happens – which is totally beyond his control and outside of a racing situation, through the apparent incompetence of another competitor – it's difficult to accept," he said.

"Looking forward, while the championship is now beyond us, we are determined to continue to demonstrate what a fantastic bike the Suzuki GSX-R1000K9 is. While our primary thoughts are with Sylvain, we look forward to continuing and building on his impressive early season performances.”
