Seton Yamaha's Graeme Gowland says he is looking for the next step in order to really mix it with the Motorpoint British Supersport title contenders even though he is now fifth in the trophy hunt.
The former BSB man came away from Thruxton with a brace of top-six results and now wants to find that last tenth or two to make life difficult for Glen Richards et al.
"I'm happy with the outcome at Thruxton. We were really up against it on race day because of the inconsistent weather we had on Friday and Saturday, which had made it impossible to have a dry setting for Sunday - but saying that, the team worked really hard and we have come away with two top six results and we are lying 5th in the championship. We are so close to the front, we just need to take that next step, which we are all working hard towards," said Gowland.
