Motorpoint Yamaha's Chris Walker only completed nine out of a possible 40 race laps during this weekend's British Superbike round at Thruxton, prompting him to wonder if it is a joke.
The fan favourite went out with generator failure on lap one of the first leg and then, after having an engine change in the interval, he was back in the pits on lap eight of race two with an undisclosed problem.
"Lets hope that's my bogey weekend out of the way, I have never had the best luck at Thruxton but this weekend was a joke! We struggled for a set up for qualifying but I knew I'd battle for a result on race day, to leave here without even having a go is really hard to take. People know I am a fighter and we will work hard to make up for this disappointment," said Walker.
